St Peter’s School

St Peters York

St Peter’s York, 1st March 2016

DUEM were delighted to speak at a public lecture to St Peter’s School on Tuesday 1st March at 7pm entitled Blood, Sweat & Carbon. Oliver Headlam-Morley, our team principal, is an Old Peterite. Having recently returned from the World Solar Challenge, he detailed our experiences crossing the Australian Outback, and the engineering challenges involved in building a solar powered vehicle. Finally, he gave a glimpse into our exciting future ambitions.

It was a fantastic opportunity for us to inspire the next generation of engineers, entrepreneurs and others who dare to think different & we look forward to yet more in the months ahead!

Tonbridge School

15th June at Tonbridge School, Kent

Following on from DUEM’s incredibly successful visit to Motorexpo, the team visited Tonbridge School. We showcased our solar car to the assembled staff, pupils & parents, leaving many stunned as to the feat we were attempting and the car we had designed. We made some great contacts, and certainly, we think, inspired the next generation of engineers! We are extremely grateful to Tonbridge School for letting us showcase our car there. We look forward to returning soon with a car that has been to Australia & raced 3000km. You can find out more about Tonbridge at www.tonbridge-school.co.uk
