On the 16th November 2024, the team attended the Electric Dreams event in Newcastle to display our project to a vast number of attendees throughout the day. Hosted by the Women’s Engineering Society, the event focused on themes of energy and climate change, promoting a vision of a greener future for all.
Alongside other engineering institutions, including the Institute of Engineering and Technology as well as Northern Powergrid, Durham University Solar Car shone through its showcase of the impactful possibilities of solar energy. The team thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to share our work with members of the public and were deeply grateful to the Women’s Engineering Society and the Common Room Newcastle for hosting such a wonderful and informative event.
