At the end of March 2024, the team made the journey to Scotland to visit one of the team’s main sponsors of recent history, Serica Energy. This was a fantastic opportunity to get to know some of the largest supporters of our project and share with them our success at the 2023 World Solar Challenge.
It would not be a partner visit without the jewel of our project, DUSC2023, and the staff at Serica Energy had the opportunity to see every aspect of the car, inside and out. Numerous staff members were particularly fascinated by the inner workings of our most recent Solar Car, with many asking if they could get a turn driving…Unfortunately for them, our answer was no!
In 2023, DUSC2023 became the first British Solar Car to finish the 6-day World Solar Challenge Event. This was a truly momentous achievement that was largely made possible by the contribution from Serica Energy, and it was wonderful to be able to thank the Serica Energy team in person.
